are you concern that if you copy and paste something from a page to another application program, you will get a virus. well if you are read my post here i will try to explain if you can or cannot get a virus from copying and pasting.
depending on the situaion, its possible to spread a virus by copy and paste. why? well, because specially on windows systems, if you copy something from a website and paste it onto a word document, the copying can transfer all the copied code, thats where viruses live, in the code. so if you paste it to word for example, word pastes all the copied content and all the format of the text/images etc. so yes its possible. to avoid this whole, i usually copy and paste text to a text editor like notepad. why notepad, because notepad does not paste formatted text, only the pure raw (ascii) text.
