does anyone know of any laptop manufacturer that makes laptop with two hard drive slots already built in? i am interested in having a laptop so to backup my data. my data is very important to me and if i have two drives, i can do RAID 1. if anyone knows of a laptop model that has 2 hard drives already pre built in please tell me

yes HP has some dual hard disk models. and Asus N73 also has two disks.

there are not that many laptop manufacturers who make dual hard drive laptops because the fact that laptops are meant to be portable, if you put two drives, then there is not much room. space in critical for a laptop so thats why you are not going to find one. unless its specific for a particular type of job where data storage is critical where you would have RAID1 for redundancy.

but it is a nice concept, but not a practical one. HP came out with a laptop with two SATA drives but they disconnected because it was not sold very well. no one is going to pay for a 2000 laptop when you can buy the same for 700 dollars.
