for years I wanted to find a way when I would click on a link i want it to open inot a new tab, and when the targe="same" is the same, that tab would not open, it would just open the link in the tab but in the background. After firefox started to update automatically, they changed this.
today i found a way to make it the way it was. all you have to do is change the settings. follow these instructions:
1. open a new tab and enter the following into the address bar: about:config
2. hit control + f
3. type: browser.tabs.loadDivertedInBackground
4. change value to true
