today on the news they announced that president obama nominated Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor. two minutes later, there was already a republican GOP conservative talking against sotomajor and trashing her. but while all that was going on, i was thinking.. hmm. if the replublicans what to lose latino vote, this is the way to do it. i mean, this is a big deal for hispanics, sotomayor is given a good place to represent latinos. while discussing this topic with my friend fernando, he usually votes replublican, but he warned that if he saw republicans going against sotomayor's nomitanion, the replublican party will defenetly lose one voter. now one vote may not mean much to a republican official who wants to get re-elected, but its apparent that if my friend felt like this, there are other hispanics who will also feel betrayed by republicans and they will lose latinos voting for republicans.
what do you think?
